Submitting IRB Applications

All 91茄子 IRB Applications must be submitted through the IRB Mentor system. Applications will no longer be accepted by email.

To access IRB Mentor, login through the . Then, find the link for 鈥淚RB Mentor鈥 under 鈥淨uick Links鈥 on the left-hand side. Once you have logged in to IRB Mentor, click the 鈥淚RB鈥 tab to access the IRB Mentor Info Page. 91茄子IRB Policies, instructional materials and additional information are available here.

Mission

The Mission of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research is three-fold.

  1. Protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects through project review.
  2. Foster compliance with institutional policy and federal regulations by facilitating institutional personnel鈥檚 efforts in utilizing living human subjects for research, education and other scholarly pursuits that are systematically designed and endeavoring to contribute to knowledge in the respective field.
  3. Provide education to institutional personnel on the ethical use of human subjects. Helping researchers and instructors to be stewards of the trust of our human subjects is of paramount concern.

Meetings and Deadlines

Committee meetings are held monthly. When needed, one summer meeting may be scheduled. Protocols must be submitted via the IRB Mentor system two weeks prior to a meeting date to be considered for review. Information about exact meeting dates can be found within the IRB Mentor system.
